Myrtle Beach, SC–The Southern Living Showcase Home will officially open to the public Friday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. The home, located at 961 Tucker’s Road in Litchfield Plantation/Pawleys Island, is the second Southern Living Custom Builder Program Showcase Home built by the mother/son team of Susan and Berkley White of Classic Homes in Myrtle Beach. It is the first for Georgetown County

The ‘River Run’, part of the Southern Living Homes collection, is adapted from a plan by renowned architect, John Tee. Its ample 2,494 square feet is comprised of three bedrooms, three and one-half baths a two-car garage, bonus room and great room which opens into a gourmet kitchen. In true Lowcountry style, the home is accented with an elegant front entry porch, an outdoor living area with fireplace, and a detached boathouse or workshop.

Situated beneath a canopy of moss-draped oaks, and located on a nature preserve, the home features the products of more than a dozen national sponsors and is supported by over 40 local sponsors and trade partners.

The home will be open August 18 – September 10 for tours from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

In keeping with the Southern Living tradition, tours and events benefit both a national and local charity. A single $10 donation will be accepted on behalf of “Teach My People,” and “Operation Finally Home”.
