Myrtle Beach, SC–When Susan White, Founder of Classic (Home Building) and Classic Interiors of Myrtle Beach, recently attended the Southern Living Design Summit, she had no idea she would be presented with a plaque honoring her company’s affiliation with the Southern Living Custom Builder Program for eight consecutive years.
Classic is one of only 100 builders throughout the US, hand-picked by Southern Living, that meets the stringent criteria that set the Southern Living Custom Builder apart. This invitation-only program selects custom builders acclaimed for their detailed craftsmanship, excellence in customer service, financial stability, and use of quality building materials.
Before members are selected, Southern Living checks homeowner and business references and conducts a site visit to ensure they are selecting a builder that will deliver both a quality custom home and exceptional customer service. To ensure both quality and consistency, builders must apply and undergo the rigorous evaluation on an annual basis. Classic is recognized as one of only a few builders nationwide to consecutively maintain the ranking year after year.

As a Southern Living Custom Builder, Classic has exclusive access to Southern Living’s House Plans, a collection created by well-renowned architects and designers throughout the nation. “This collection is only available to Southern Living’s Custom Builders,” Payne concluded.
Classic, which built this area’s first Southern Living Showcase Home in 2012, will introduce the second Showcase Home, late 2016. The “Classic Montereau” will utilize a Southern Living plan designed by renowned architect, John Tee.
